Physiotherapy for Kids & Teens

Our standard in-clinic appointment type for anyone from 𝟏 - 𝟏𝟖 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐚𝐠𝐞. Please select an initial assessment if this is your first time, or a follow-up session if you've played with us before.


Physiotherapy for Infants

These appointments are designed for babies from 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐨 𝟏𝟐 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐚𝐠𝐞. Please bring your baby in should you have any concerns with their developmental milestones. You can also book one of these appointments if you do not have any concerns, but are looking for guidance on how to support your infant in developing gross motor skills.


Physiotherapy for Concussion

These appointments are for concussion related services including baseline testing, post concussion assessment and treatment. Our clinic is associated with Complete Concussion Management Inc (CCMI).


Virtual Physiotherapy

These services are offered through a secure online platform from the comfort of your home. Please give us a call to book a complimentary consultation if you would prefer this appointment type but are not sure whether it is right for you.

Margaret is an energetic and animated person who loves to play and laughs at almost any joke (even dad jokes).

Her passion to persue paediatrics first started while she was completing her undergraduate degree at Simon Fraser University graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sciences concentrating in Active Health and Rehabilitation Kinesiology. During this time, Margaret spent many years working with the Canucks Autism Network where she motivated children with ASD to participate in active and social programs such as swim, basketball, soccer, skating, music and games nights. Additionally, she provided one on one behavioural intervention therapy to other children with special abilities taking kiddos out to the park or the swimming pool.

Margaret completed her Doctor of Physiotherapy Degree at Bond university in Gold Coast, Australia. It was during her paediatric placement where she provided therapy in rural orphanges and charity clinics in Da Nang, Vietnam when she was certain that she wanted to continue to help children and their families be able to achieve their goals and help them find an optimal way to live their best life.

Margaret values carefully conducted assessments, thorough education to the children and families, and playfulness during therapy.

On her days off, you can find her doing a number of physical and creative activities such as playing beach volleyball, swimming, running, hiking, baking, cooking, sewing, and eating.

Aria was born and raised in Sudbury ON where she completed her Kinesiology degree. She moved to beautiful BC to complete her Masters of Physical Therapy at UBC in order to pursue her dream to work as a Pediatric Physiotherapist.

Aria has previous experience working as a dance instructor and rock-climbing coach with youth in her hometown. She has also gained experience promoting movement and activity for children of all ages and abilities through previous placements and various volunteer opportunities including iCanBike and S.W.A.M. Sudbury.

Aria looks forward to working in collaboration with children and their families in order to empower them to reach their full mobility and play potential. She enjoys working with children of all ages and can treat a variety of conditions including but not limited to: sport injuries, gross motor delays, torticollis, plagiocephaly and developmental coordination disorder. She is passionate and excited to be working within the rehabilitation field of pediatrics and prioritizes making physiotherapy fun!

Jessica completed her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in Spokane, Washington in 2011. At that time, she worked in acute care and at a pediatric outpatient neurodevelopmental clinic. She returned to BC in 2014 where she worked on the Early Intervention team and as a School Aged Physio. Jessica has always been passionate about working with children.

Jessica’s experience allows her to treat a wide range of conditions and ages, from infants to teenagers. She loves working with babies and young children with complex disorders. Jessica has experience with neurological conditions, developmental disorders, gross motor delays, toe walking, coordination concerns, torticollis and plagiocephaly, and more.

She is proud to be a RASP (registry of autism service providers) certified Physiotherapist and assists families with children under the age of 6 to utilize their funding. Jessica utilizes a child and family centered approach and is excited to help your child meet their goals!

In her free time, Jessica can usually be found on adventures with her family. Whether it’s an outing to a playground, taking a swim or going on a hike they like to stay active and get outside.

Prachi (p rah chi) was born and raised in Mumbai, India. Being surrounded by a family of doctors and surgeons, she was exposed to physiotherapy very early on. She learnt the importance of it through her own experience post injuries as a trained classical dancer.

Her keen interest in injury prevention and management lead her to pursue a Bachelors in Physiotherapy, followed by a Masters in Neurological Physiotherapy.

As a practising physiotherapist in India, she wanted to learn more about how she can best support her clients recovery and development. This led her to move to The 6ix, where she pursued a 1 year graduate program in Autism and behavioural sciences.

She has experience working with :

  • Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Downs syndrome, and Genetic disorders. gross motor delays, torticollis, plagiocephaly and developmental coordination disorder.

  • Children, teens and athletes with activity induced pain and sport related injuries.

Her therapeutic approach is all about the fun:learn ratio. She spends time understanding her client goals, plays detective to identify the primary issues, and then proceeds to prescribe play based exercises that are challenging, engaging as well as age-appropriate!

She recently moved to Beautiful BC to experience all the Great White North has to offer!

When not in the clinic, Prachi is in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) working with tiny humans!

Born and raised in Richmond, Taylor grew up working a variety of jobs with children prior to completing his Master of Physical Therapy at UBC. These positions include a minor hockey coach, a Canucks Autism Network support worker, a sport camp leader, and a behaviour interventionist. Taylor joined Kids Physio Group for the opportunity to help children be their best in a nurturing and fun team environment.

Taylor is passionate about working with children and families of all ages to help them achieve their goals in an enjoyable and effective manner. He appreciates how no two kids are the same, so each child requires their own individualized treatment plan. His clinical experience includes, but is not limited to, children with:

David was born and raised in North Vancouver and completed his Bachelor of Science in Biology and Classical Studies at the University of British Columbia. While volunteering with Special Olympics Canada as a swimming instructor David discovered a passion for working with differently abled children and teenagers. This led him to pursue training in paediatrics when he returned to UBC to complete a Masters of Physical Therapy.

During his time at UBC, David completed a placement at Kid’s Physio Group and immediately felt an affinity with their evidence-based approach focused on active therapy and making physio enjoyable. As the proud father of an ostentatious baby girl, David is confident in treating babies as well as children and teenagers.

David grew up playing a variety of contact sports such as hockey, rugby, and football and has a keen interest in treating sports injuries. In his free time, David can be found chasing his daughter around the house, running, hiking, backpacking, snowboarding, rock climbing or bouldering.
